So what do I have in store for myself?
A BBQ with both sides of the family on Saturday. The main dish will be beef brisket that we will smoke on our Traeger for 8 hours - my mouth is watering as I type this. We got this crazy hook-up on our Traeger where we got it essentially 60% of the original price, so now we eat absorbent amounts of meat every single night. It's awesome.
Second, I've been planning a mini-makeover of our "Master Bath" for quite some time. It will be getting a fresh coat of paint, a new cupboard to go above the toilet, a new shower curtain, a revamp on the mirror, and some touch-ups to the grout and caulk on the tub.
Third, a little bit of shopping to update the basics in my wardrobe. Most days I don't leave the house really so sometimes I need a little kick in the pants so I take the time to make myself look decent for the day. I just found this blog and am totally inspired to put a little more effort into my appearance and be one sexy mom for R. Here is just one example of a killer outfit.
Not that R really cares as he's just a baby, but whatever. Not to mention the outfits she dresses her little boy in are to die for, I've already made plans to make a baby leggings line for R in every color of the rainbow.
On a side note I was in H&M today and I would highly suggest checking out the men's department next time you go, very cute and snuggly cardigans that are oversized and super cozy. I only walked out with a pair of grey skinny's for my bday but maybe next time.
So pictures will soon follow of my bathroom face lift - as well as my finished board and batten. I just have a few paint touch-ups to do, and then it will be ready for use (just in time for my paartay).
And one last thing - Battleship Galactica anyone? Why has it taken me this long to start watching that show? A sci-fi geek like me should have been geeking out on it ages ago. And did you know Starbuck totally lives in Portland? Yea she almost hit my friend's car a couple weeks ago - how cool is that??
