After Further Review

After thinking on it further, I can't do the horizontal planks in my entryway. Not because I don't love them - I totally do - but more fitting in the style of my house would be board and batten, which I also love. So here's my next attempt at Photoshop to show you what that might look like.

 

And yes, I stole this entryway picture from Sadalewis.com and you can find the tutorial here.  Out of all the ones I've seen online, I really liked the board sizing they used, and of course their styling on top of it is adorbs. 

You might be wondering what that bench is with that dirty fur throw on it that I keep putting into these pictures is - it's a sweet old church pew I snagged off craigslist. I'll post some actual pictures of it later so you can see the detailing, but it's awesome and exactly what I wanted for the space.

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed, but hopefully I'll have some rad "After" pics to show off soon.
