If you glance upwards, you will see the title of this post is also the new title of my blog.
Besides the fact that I've completely neglected this blog for the past year (along with my eating and workout habits, but let's just blame it all on being pregnant), I feel that if I'm going to be posting more often, I want the blog to really reflect who I am. And right now that someone is a hot mess working and trying to raise a 2 month old.
In the past couple days I've had to get real with myself about how much can actually be accomplished within a 24 hour period, so that involves getting much better about prioritizing my time. I believe the process would be easier if I didn't work from home (NOT all it's cracked up to be) since the lines between work life and home life are constantly blurred. I don't have the discipline yet to be firm with my "working hours" which doesn't help.
Per usual there are still about a jillion projects I want to undertake while still having dozens of half-finished ones sitting around the house (giant chalkboard to be framed out, book shelves to be built, cutting boards to be made, Ransom's Christmas present to be finished, a half-painted wall to repaint, etc, etc). On top of all that, my MIL got me a serger for Christmas. Do you have any idea of all the new projects I can undertake with a serger? As I type, I'm wearing a jersey knit infinity scarf I made with it just this evening. It actually took less time to sew it then it did to thread the darn machine. Moving on though.
So where does that leave me? Often with spit up in my hair that I just don't have time to wash out that night. Or the following night. Or sometimes even the following night. Just promise me when we hug you won't inhale, mmkay?

whoa girl. . .your plate is full! I didn't know you were working from home on top of a newborn AND projects to boot. Well, if anyone can handle it all, it's you. Is mommy hood still treatin ya okay?
